Le Mark School of Art’s students got an exclusive opportunity to visit the Golecha’s Jewels store while on an Industrial visit tour to Jaipur. Beholding some of the most uniquely designed pieces and a museum of ancient jewellery, Golecha’s jewels top’s our list of Must Visit places in Jaipur.
Golecha Jewels is the creative venture of the designer duo Sandeep Golecha and Vijay Golecha. It has stores in Mumbai and Jaipur. Since the establishment of the jewellery brand in the 90’s, Golecha Jewels has been providing exquisite creations to high society customers, that extend to Bollywood celebrities. They are regarded to be the first ones to start the trend of using real jewellry in Bollywood films with the movie Umrao Jaan. Since then, Golecha;s Jewels has been adorned by many actress including Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Juhi Chawla, Dia Mirza, Bipasha Basu, and many more.
Golecha Jewels is analogous with remodeling the royal jewels, mixing aesthetically with current practicality and enchantment. All its jewels are handcrafted studded with diamonds and precious stones, in gold settings, creating a luxurious and elegant appeal.
The bridal collection of Golecha Jewels is filled with chandelier earrings, necklaces studded with kundan and polki patterns, bracelets, armlets, and also stunning hair accessories, adorned with rubies and emeralds.
Our Students got one of a kind opportunity to visit the three-storey store in its authentic Jaipur architecture. They witnessed the extensively retained 20th century jewellery, textiles, paintings and much more! To add to it’s valor, Golecha’s Jewels beholds the magnificent Ms.Sushmita Sen’s Miss Universe India’s Crown. This marvellous store, which overlooks the famous Jal Mahal of Jaipur, is nothing but a treasure house of old and new masterpieces.
While giving the tour to its lavish store, Mr. Vijay Golecha enlightened the students with the different types of Jewels, their purposes, functions and much more. Our students were mesmerized by the collection. It was one of a kind experience for our students to meet Mr. Vijay Golecha, understand the history of jewellery & how it plays an important role in Fashion.
